Archery Club

DSCF0010The Club is dedicated to the sport of target archery and is not a shared facility. The range is fully open to Club members throughout the year, with targets permanently available on the field. It has a purpose-built, fully accessible Clubhouse complete with toilet facilities and a food and drinks area.

The Club arranges a busy diary of regular club evenings and day shoots at its ground, suitable for archers of all abilities. Our facilities accommodate targets set from 20–100yds (18–90m). During the winter months we move indoors to a local sports hall.

The club hosts four annual ‘open’ tournaments; together with inter-Club competitions and postal events. The club’s famous Acorn Shoot has been held every year since 1954.

We also encourage and support participation by members in local and national competitions.

Social events are organised throughout the year including summer barbecues and get-togethers, culminating in an annual Awards Ceremony.
