Candidates for European Parliamentary Election – remember to register to vote

On Thursday 22 May 2014, voters in the UK will vote for their representatives in the European Parliament. The Guildford Borough Council area is part of the South East England (SE) region. This region will elect 10 MEPs for the European Parliament.
You can view the full Statement of Persons Nominated, which shows individuals and political parties, at www.guildford.gov.uk/epe
If you haven’t already registered to vote in elections in the Guildford Borough Council area, please make sure you register by the following dates to vote in the European election on 22 May.
- Tuesday 6 May – deadline for new applications to register to vote
- Wednesday 7 May – by 5pm – deadline for new applications for a postal vote or to make changes to existing postal or proxy votes
- Wednesday 14 May – by 5pm – deadline for new applications to vote by proxy
- Thursday 22 May – by 5pm – deadline for emergency applications to vote by proxy
