New Councillor – Louise McCrow
Normandy Parish Council are pleased to welcome Louise McCrow as a Parish Councillor.
About Louise – ‘I have lived in Normandy for 20 years, having been born not far away in Farnham. During my time here I have got to know many of the residents and developed a keen interest in our local area, particularly the facilities we have and our green spaces.
My working background has been in Direct Marketing and my professional qualifications include a Batchelor of Arts degree in Business Studies and a Diploma in Direct Marketing. I first worked in London for four years for Time-Life, the American Publishing Company. I subsequently spent 10 years at a Direct Media Agency, working with clients such as Hotel Chocolat and La Redoute, budgeting, planning and executing their direct media campaigns. I hope that my strong business skills and interest in budgeting and finance will serve me well in my new role as a Parish Councillor.
I have spent the last few years focussing on raising my two sons, who have both attended Wyke Primary School. I am a volunteer at the wonderful Normandy Shop and Café, which I have found is a great place to meet new people, both volunteers and customers. I started a new college course last September which is allowing me to develop and expand my computer software skills.
I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and learning some new skills in my role as a Parish Councillor, but am expecting a rather steep learning curve! I hope that my contribution to the council will have a positive impact and am looking forward to getting to know the rest of the team on the council.’
